Other Information:         James was born in Garfield, Montana in 1920 as the second son of three born to Edna Davison. James  attended the University of Montana and enlisted in the Air Corps on May 9th 1942 at Missoula, Montana. He joined the 301st Troop Carrier Squadron on March 29th 1944 at Langar and on June 5th 1944 he acted as Radio Operator on C-47 42-101025 as Chalk 54. At approximately 0120hrs on June 6th the airplane was hit by ground fire and crashed, killing all onboard. He is buried at the American Cemetery at Colleville sur Mer, Normandy, France in Plot C Row 8 Grave 14.
